WORD
Obeying God’s word purifies us, giving honor to Him.

“Be doers of the word & not hearers only…” (Jas 1:22)

Make My word come true in your life for faith without works is dead.

DIRECTION

Take on an active role in our community’s mission work, to put life into the word of God.
Immerse yourselves in the word of God that we may stand undefiled before Him.

THEMES AND PROMISES

Week#1 (22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We obey God’s word when we keep ourselves unstained by the world.
Promise: “….hear the statutes and decrees I am teaching you to observe, that you may live” (Dt 4:1)

Week#2 (23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We obey God’s word when we practice the gift of healing in and out of Community.
Promise: “Here is your God…he comes to save you.” (Is 35:4b)

Week #3 (24th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We obey God’s word when we deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.
Promise: “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel will save it.” (Mk 8:35)

Week #4 (25th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We obey God’s word when we practice servanthood within and outside of the Community.
Promise: “… the Lord sustains my life.” (Ps 54:6)

Week #5 (26th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Theme: We obey God’s word when we help those who are in need.
Promise: “Anyone who gives a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ …will surely not lose his reward.” (Mark 9:41)
