DIRECTIONS:
1. As you enter the Advent season, be more aware of ways to be open and obedient to the will of God.
2. Prepare for Christ’s coming by reading God’s word daily, going to confession and mass regularly.
THEMES AND PROMISES
Week#1(1stSunday of Advent)
Theme: We rejoice in the coming of Christ when we await Him in faithful anticipation.
Promise: “…those who love you prosper.” (P122:68)
Week#2(2ndSunday of Advent)
Theme: We rejoice in the coming of Christ when we produce good fruit through repentance.
Promise:“Justice shall flower in his days.” (Ps 72:7)
Week#3(3rd Sunday of Advent)
Theme: We rejoice in the coming of Christ when we recognize the Messiah in His works and words.
Promise: “The Lord shall reign forever…through all generation.” (Ps 146:10}
Week#4 (4thSunday of Advent)
Theme: We rejoice in the coming of Christ as we obey & trust in God’s will.
Promise: “He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, a reward from God his savior.”
(Ps 24:5)
Week#5 (Nativity of the Lord)
Theme: We rejoice in the coming of Christ when we experience the fullness of His grace and truth.
Promise: “I will be a father to him and he shall be a son to me.” (Heb 1:5b)
