THEMES AND PROMISES
Week#1 (4th Sunday in Ordinary Time)
Theme: As disciples of Christ we speak with God’s authority when our minds and hearts are soaked in His word and in His teaching.
Promise: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kin, and will put my words into his mouth; he shall tell them all that I command him.” (Deut 18:18)
Week#2 (5th Sunday in Ordinary Time)
Theme: As disciples of Christ we speak with God’s authority when prayer is our way of life.
Promise: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Ps 147:3)
Week#3 (6th Sunday in Ordinary Time)
Theme: As disciples of Christ we speak with God’s authority when we treat others with mercy and compassion.
Promise: “Blessed is he whose fault is taken away, whose sin is covered.” (Ps 32:1)
Week#4 (1st Sunday of Lent)
Theme: As disciples of Christ we speak with God’s authority when we repent, believe in the gospel and resist temptation.
Promise: “He guides the humble to justice, he teaches the humble his way.”(Ps 25:9)
