The generous response to the fundraising appeals to help the victims of Habagat flooding in Southern Luzon and Typhoon Pablo in Mindanao is another manifestation of BLD members’ concern and compassion for the helpless victims of natural calamities in the Philippines. Our Community Spiritual Director and the ECSL extend their gratitude and appreciation to all who donated relief goods, money, and time as they immediately responded to the call to help the calamity victims, some of them our own BLD members and parishes of BLD priests.
The Habagat relief was coordinated by BLD Manila, BLD Malolos and BLD San Pablo, distributing relief goods and much needed cash for loss of properties and livelihood in flooded areas in Pasig, Taytay, Meycauayan, Malolos and low lying areas in Laguna.
