Happy Easter to all of you. The Lord addresses each of us “Be holy, for I am holy” (Lev. 11:44). Vatican II states clearly that we are called to be holy “each in his or her own way” (Lumen Gentium, 11).

“We are all called to be holy by living our lives with love and by bearing witness in everything we do, wherever we find ourselves.” (Pope Francis, Gaudete etExsultate, no. 14).

Life presents great challenges. We discover these through BLD Communities and commitments. Christ lives his life through us and in us. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 521).

I join BLD in welcoming Bishop Rey Evangelista as my Assistant and eventual Successor.

I join you in calling Mary time and time again.
