MESSAGE

“The Spirit of truth…will guide you to all truth…
He will declare to you the things that are coming.”(John 16:13)

It may be by Divine Providence that we are celebrating the 34th year of the Community on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit worked inseparably in creation, making the universe out of nothing. The three Persons work inseparably in all aspects. In Ephesians 2:18, the Apostle Paul tells us that the Holy Trinity also work as one in bringing unity among Christians. This does not mean a monolithic unity. As with the operation of the Trinity, there is diversity even as we are more and more knit together as one people. But this diversity shall not compromise our unity and cooperation.

This brings into focus, the theme of Archbishop Angel N. Lagdameo, our Community Spiritual Director, in his homily during the anointing of the Council of Servant Leaders and the Cluster Shepherds on June 6, 2018. His message was about unity and solidarity among all the leaders and members of the Community. Truly, it is in working together that we are able to move forward in the accomplishment of our mission, promoting God’s Kingdom in ourselves, among family and community members, in all our brothers and sisters.

In this 34th celebration of the life of the BLD Community, let us take to heart the inspiration from the Holy Trinity and our Community Spiritual Director in facing our different challenges and achieving our vision and mission.

Congratulations to all BLD Manila members and our global communities on the 34th Year of BLD.
